Claudette Sorel |
The Elizabeth & Michel Sorel Charitable Organization Inc., established in 1996 by their daughter, Claudette Sorel, is a 501©(3) private foundation. Ms. Sorel was a child piano prodigy. She is the youngest graduate of The Juilliard School completing her degree at age 9. She became a distinguished professor of piano, at SUNY, Fredonia. Ms. Sorel passed away in 1999. Our mission is to keep musical excellence alive and to help stretch the boundaries for women in music.

This year The Sorel Organization will present a special
presentation of the Conductor's Requests. These pieces were hand
picked by Dennis Keene to be performed on the final concert
as we wait for the judges' decision of 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize. Also
on this program, Voices of Ascension will be performing some
of Bach's most beloved contatas.

progressive internship provided NYU Senior Meghan Phadke an
opportunity to head the music program at The Children's Art
Village in Ghana, Africa.
